The European Synchrotron (ESRF) is an international research center located in Grenoble, France.
With innovative engineering, pioneering scientific vision, and the dedication of its 700 staff members, ESRF is recognized as one of the world's leading research facilities. Its particle accelerator generates intense X-ray beams used by thousands of scientists annually for experiments across various fields, including biology, medicine, environmental sciences, cultural heritage, materials science, and physics.
Supported by 21 countries, ESRF is an equal opportunity employer that promotes diversity.
Subject: Oxidation and Fluorination Reactions at High Pressure and Temperature You will join Prof. Ulrich Häussermann (Stockholm) and Dr. Wilson Crichton (ESRF) to synthesize solid-state compounds with higher oxidation states through oxidation and fluorination reactions at high pressure and temperature.
The beamline ID06-Large Volume Press aims to study the synthesis, phase diagrams, transitions, and physical properties of materials at high pressure and temperature using X-ray diffraction, often combined with other techniques.
For further information, please contact Wilson Crichton (tel.: +33 (0)4 76 88 22 69, email: crichton@esrf.fr), or Ulrich Häussermann (+46(0)8 16 23 90, email: Ulrich.haussermann@mmk.su.se).
