The Department of Law of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in Banking, Financial & Commercial Law.

Your role

The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Professor André Prüm. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for:

  • Assisting colleagues in banking, financial & commercial law research, especially for joint projects
  • Contributing to teaching and tutoring students in banking, financial, and commercial law, particularly in the Master's programs in European banking and financial law and European investment funds law
  • Conducting independent research on topics agreed upon with the supervisor, leading to publication in scientific journals or presentations at conferences
  • Assisting in organizing research activities in banking, financial & commercial law

Your profile

We seek a candidate with a PhD in commercial law, preferably specializing in European banking and financial law. Applications from PhD candidates in their final year of doctoral studies may be considered.

Key requirements include:

  • Proven ability to conduct research autonomously at a postdoctoral level
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English and French, with a good understanding of German being an advantage
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong IT skills
