Job Description

We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to develop methods and codes for safety analysis of Gen-IV systems and apply new developments in safety studies of a system of interest. This project contributes to the larger MÅSTE project on sustainable energy supply using Gen IV technologies. The collaborative research of the MÅSTE project in Swedish universities is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, to be met no later than the time the employment decision is made
  • Doctoral degree in nuclear engineering, nuclear power safety, engineering mechanics or similar, with extensive experience in reactor thermal hydraulics (TH), severe accident (SA) research, and safety analyses

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or equivalent, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Knowledge and experience from using TH and/or SA codes
  • Hands-on experience from lab work related to TH or SA research
  • Good communicative skills, teamwork competence, collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Motivation and dedication to research work is a strong merit
  • Teaching experience is an advantage
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with a specific focus on gender equality
  • Adherence to the KTH Core Values

About the Employment
